Mission Statement

We are committed to help our community and our church family live life more fully as we live according to God's health principles. We believe that God has given us these principles to help us maintain health not only physically, but also mentally and spiritually.

 

Vegetarian Tasting & Health Fair on Sunday, November 5, 2017

Health Fair starts at 10:30 am to 1:30 pm

Kettering Community Health offerings include Cholesterol testing ($25), free Cancer screening info, free Stress Information  

free exercise counseling

Free strength & flexibility evaluation

Free physician counseling

 

Vegetarian Tasting with over 30 delicious vegetarian & vegan samples to taste

Session 1 at11:30 am, Session 2 at 1 pm

Register here for Early Bird price of $10/adults and $5/children under 12 yrs

Checks must be received by Oct. 25 for the Early Bird price.

All tickets at the door $15/adults and $5/children under 12 yrs

 

Vegetarian Dinner Club

next dinner club is on Sunday, November 19, 2017. Four times a year, you may bring a friend or the whole family and enjoy a delightful vegetarian meal, and take the recipes home. Cost: $8 per person, $4 for children under 13. Please call 937-433-7007 to reserve your seat. 

Vegetarian Cooking Class

Cooking classes and presentations are offered by the church to provide information on healthy lifestyles. Cooking demonstrations show how to prepare vegetarian and vegan food.

SMART Recovery classes

SMART recovery classes are on Wednesday nights.

CHIP Complete Health Improvement Program

Diabetes Undone

Diabetes Undone is a program to empower you with information to change your health with nutrition, exercise and powerful lifestyle strategies to fight Diabetes type 2.  For future programs check website for updates.

Exercise Options

Join the Adventist InStep for Life Initiative to promote healthy kids and families. Register and record your physical activity at www.adventistsinstepforlife.org. Visit 3abntv.org or check your cable/satellite stations to join 3ABN’s most popular exercise program “Body and Spirit” with new host Lyndi Schwartz, M.D.

Faith Community Nurse Ministry

Centerville SDA Church is pleased to have Mary Matese, MSN/Ed, RN, FCN. She has completed her training at Kettering Health Network and provides health education and resource services for those interested.
